WHERE'S THE LOVE?

I love my city, I'm sure most people who live here loves this city, when we leave here and go to other cities, we are proud to say we are from CHICAGO!!! We rep it hard, cause we want people to know how much she means to us and that we are the best, so why is it when we are in OUR own city, we don't show that same love and respect for one another? I can say over the years, things have gotten a lot better but that's not enough.....Chicago is like a big house party, when you walk in the door, you see several groups of people that came together, or only deal with each other, under the "anti-social" act or the "we better then these niggas" act!! So instead of everyrhing being on one accord and everyone screaming CHICAGO STAND UP......we sound like a bogus choir singing off key. Unity is a big word and i don't think a lot of people understand what the word means, its about coming together to form something far more greater then anyone person can and ever will achieve. No one can conquer a world by themselves, no one map can put CHICAGO on the map, cause if I'm not mistaken, it's already there!! And we don't have a good reputation as a city as is, people coming from other places to enjoy our city and we robbing them, beating them up, tryna live up to the hype of a bunch of old dead ass white gangstas, that ain't what Chicago is about, that's the reputation niggas refuse to let go of!! Why carry on a legacy like that, its bad enough they look at us like that anyway, i guess give'em what they want instead of showing them otherwise. The females are no better either, if anything, they are starting to get worse!! EVERY SHOW..... instead of hitting the stage and showcasing the gift God gave you and perfecting your craft, they gotta do the "BITCH I'M BETTER THEN YOU SONGS" why? So now the next chick gotta prove a point, and next week the next chick gotta prove a point, and so on, now there's a riff cause everyone feels the same way, now there's subliminal's, beef, "DAMN WHY SHE JUST STEAL ON HER ASS"......ETC.... !! We are not in sync as a city, we all mess with certain people, support certain people, hate on maugs just cause yo man got a problem with him/her!! Even if you feel like fam nice you still hate just because, it's like this everywhere but i feel like we have it the worst, i don't care how many times we go to ATL, NEW YORK, OR WHERE EVER AND SAY WE BEAT SOMEBODY...... THEY STILL WINNING CAUSE THEY HAVE UNITY!!! NEW YORK NIGGAS HAVE SONGS WITH NEW YORK NIGGAS, ATL NIGGAS HAVE SONGS WITH ATL NIGGAS ETC......CHICAGO NIGGA HAVE OR IS TRYING TO GET SONGS WITH EVERYBODY BUT CHICAGO NIGGAS!! But like i said, we are getting better at it but we need to get GREATER at it!! Stop waiting on ya man to get on, stop being pissed as to why Twista, Common, Kanye, R. Kelly and them niggas ain't reach back!! Start your own movement, get out here and work, stop telling the city to stand up....GET OFF YO ASS AND STAND UP!! Support Chicago, support the next man working, the next female working, same goes for the ladies, there's always someone better then you, if you can't embrace it or accept that then move around, or work harder instead of knocking them cause they are better!!!
